To publish or not to publish?

Understanding when and how to publish protocols can significantly enhance efficiency and impact your team. Let's explore how Incision Assist Manager can simplify this process. The Incision team has populated the first protocols based on your hospital's preferences, so you can dive straight into perfecting and publishing them.

In a protocol, there are a few buttons to explain. The ‘Save’ button is your best friend—it secures all your edits within the Assist Manager. Every tweak deserves a save! Click the 'Save' button on the top right to make sure you keep all your changes. Once you've checked the protocol and you're satisfied, hit 'Publish' to unleash your protocol into the Incision Assist app, making it accessible to all.

But, what if you need to hide a protocol from showing in the Incision Assist App? Simply click 'Unpublish,' and voila! It disappears from the app while remaining editable in the Assist Manager.

If you're working on a protocol that has not been published before, the buttons look like this:

If you're working on a protocol that is already published, the buttons look like this:

In the protocols overview, you can see whether each procedure is published. As shown in the image below, the left-side protocol for the Ankle Fracture has been published. The right-side protocol is also published but contains changes that have not yet been published. Since both sides are published, they are visible in the Incision Assist app. If the status indicates "unpublished," the protocol is not be visible in the app.

Now you know the importance of saving your edits, the process of publishing to share your protocols, and how to unpublish if needed. With these guidelines, you're all set to manage your protocols efficiently and ensure they're always up-to-date and accessible in the Incision Assist app.
